How To Enter
General Criteria
Who can enter
Who can enter. The awards are open to brand-owners, agencies, marketing services providers and the individuals who work within them. All work entered into the categories must be either carried out in the UK or where involving work overseas, initiated, co-ordinated and evaluated by a UK office or UK based staff. Where both a brand and their agency/marketing services provider enter the same project into a category, the entries will be treated as a joint entry for the purposes of judging. Because both entries will have to be processed before a decision about joint entry can be made, any duplicated entry fee will be forfeited.
Companies or individuals may submit entries on behalf of themselves or others and may enter any number of categories, but no single campaign may be entered into more than three categories.
International work by UK brands, agencies and marketing service providers can be included in any relevant category.
Eligibility
Except where indicated, submissions should relate to the period between 1 September 2009 and 30 October 2010. Please note that entries which have been submitted for the 2010 Revolution Awards cannot be submitted in 2011. The organisers reserve the right to retain entries for subsequent publication in connection with the Awards. Descriptions of submissions from winners and runners-up will be published in connection with the Awards. Entrants may mark certain sensitive parts of their entry 'not for publication' (such as exact budget figures etc.), provided such restrictions are not used unreasonably.
General entry and information
Entries into the Revolution Awards 2011 must be submitted online.
Your written entry paper must be no more than two single sheets of A4 (12 point type, single line), which will need to be uploaded from your desktop. All entries should be uploaded following the template set out below. Entries exceeding two sides will be automatically disqualified and entry fees forfeited. To enter the categories these requirements must be adhered to, along with any other criteria shown below.
Template for your two-page written entry
Your written entry is the basis on which you will be judged and shortlisted. The two pages should show how you meet all of the criteria in your chosen category. At the beginning of your two pages the following information must be listed:
- Category entered
- Title of work
- Client/company
- URL for supporting microsite: where password protected, please provide a User ID and a Password for the Judges to access the microsite. Please note that the microsite must remain live until end of March 2011.
Sub-headings
Within your two pages you must then use the following as sub-headings under which you clearly enter your information.
- Objective/brief from client
- Strategy
- Method deployed
- Outcome, including formal evaluation of results
- Relation to objectives and cost-effectiveness
- Creativity/innovation
- Indication of outside contractors where used
- Category specific information
- Other outside contractors. All entries must include details of all in-house staff and other agencies involved in the project
- People: include names of team members involved in the actual work
Failure to include these details will result in possible disqualification.
Support material
To support your written entry, where relevant, you are allowed to upload back-up material produced for the project and/or 4 images of 300dpi. Please note there is a 1mb limit on the website per entry.
VHS videos and DVD's may also be submitted to support an entry in any category. Please note that the judges will only have the opportunity to watch approximately 45 seconds of each video/DVD so ensure that the work submitted is relevant and concise. Please note we will only accept VHS videos, not beta, video 8 or U-matics.
The above list is only suggested support material; you may send whatever you feel is appropriate for your entry, as long as it is relevant. Please do not send reams of information. It is better to be targeted than copious. All material must be clearly labelled. If an entry is entered into more than one category, please indicate this clearly.
Collection of work. It is not possible to return support material. After judging, all entries that have not been short-listed as finalists will be destroyed. All other entries will be destroyed after the Awards ceremony has taken place.
The deadline for entries is 12 November 2010.
